Hotel Seehof is awarded the title of “Musician Friendly Tavern”

Original Bavarian music with all its facets combined with the values of a traditional, family-run hotel have characterised the “Seehof” on Lake Ammersee for over 15 years.

The hotel manager – who in his heart is also a musician – has always delighted his guests with hearty Bavarian tones and is also internationally active outside of Bavaria with his own music agency.

This dedication has now been rewarded by the expert jury of the Bavarian Association for the Preservation of Local Customs and Traditions (Bayerischen Landesvereins für Heimatpflege) in collaboration with the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (Bayerischen Hotel- und Gaststättenverband). Since 1996, the title of “Musician Friendly Tavern” (Musikantenfreundliches Wirtshaus) has been exclusively awarded to taverns that have made outstanding contributions to the preservation of Bavarian music culture.

This accolade shows that guests can look forward to and count on informal music-making at our hotel. This is a place where people come together and where singers and musicians still perform without stage or payment – just for drinks, a snack and the pleasure of playing. Here it is still normal for musicians to sit amongst the guests, creating unity between artists and the audience where polarity so often resides.

Guests are welcome to join in, sing along and make music.
